engaging in community within the body of Christ

"Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts."
Acts 2:46

The writer of Hebrews urges us in Hebrews 10:24-25 to continue to meet together as fellow followers of Jesus. There are several reasons we as believers continue to gather regularly. When we gather as members of the same body we are encouraged individually as we pursue the mission of Christ together and we also are able to encourage others at the same time. As God’s people gather, the world is watching; we have the opportunity to testify of His love to those around us. In whatever form or capacity we gather, whether large assemblies, small groups or one on one, we have the privilege and responsibility to advance His kingdom and when that happens we all benefit.
