being authentic with and encouraging to others
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
We all have relationships of various kinds, it’s inevitable. but what we need to cultivate, are healthy relationships, whether they be with loved ones, friends or even new acquaintances. Jesus commanded us to Love People. As disciples we believe we are instructed to love others as we love ourselves, 1 John 3:16-18. That means we need to know others well enough to offer the kind of love they need at a particular time in their lives whether it be compassion, care, forgiveness or the hard truth. True followers of Jesus need to learn to be interdependent. None of us are to be isolated. If we are, there is a problem, usually in the are of our self-worth. There may be too much or not enough. God’s economy functions with relationships, there is no substitution-first our relationship with Him and then our relationship with others. Relationship is another pathway in your life that should have a well-worn trail.
