Coastal Kids Preschool Minister - Corporate Landing Campus
ChristiS@vbcoastal.comHello! My name is Christi Scholefield and I am the Preschool Director of The Corporate Landing Campus. I have seen the children of Coastal Kids grow and be nurtured by God’s love and feel truly honored and blessed to be able to serve the Lord in this way. I began my ministry be volunteering in the nursery five years ago when my daughter was an infant. I saw the need for dedicated followers to nurture the “youngest members of Coastal” and really felt the desire to be a part of these children’s lives. With a push from the Lord and one of His faithful followers, I became part of a wonderful group of servants who feel that God’s children are truly remarkable and awe-inspiring.
I believe that Coastal has so much to offer children and their families. As part of the children’s ministry, I have been part of such wonderful programs as “Breakfast in Bethlehem”, “The Easter Path”, Vacation Bible School and Back to School Commissioning. I truly feel that Coastal Kids does a heartfelt job of bringing families together to fellowship and to foster a deep and lasting love of the Lord. This “family atmosphere” is not only encouraged through special programs but also on Sunday mornings when many families serve the Lord together. Many of my volunteers, including my own family, serve together as husband and wife teams to bring God’s teachings to the children.
Aside from Coastal, my background is in nursing. I last worked as a nursery and mother/baby nurse at a local Sentara Hospital but stopped working when my son was 2 years old to stay at home with my children. I will always have a love for nursing, but feel that right now, God is calling me to be at home with my family and to serve His church. I have been happily married for thirteen years to Mark and have three children, Grace (11), Johnathan (8), and Ella (5).
My family and I are committed to Coastal Kids and we feel that by providing a loving and nurturing environment that teaches God’s word, we can instill in your child a yearning for their Creator that will continue to grow as they do!
