Assistant to Executive Pastor
Role: The Assistant to the Executive Pastor supports the Executive Pastor so that he can perform his duties more effectively. The position involves communications between staff and the church family in different capacities, management of office needs and any projects that need support.
My Story: I grew up going to Sunday school and knowing that God existed, but it was not until Easter of 2001, that a pastor helped me realize I could have personal relationship with Christ. From that point on, I have regularly attended church, attended small groups with my husband, studied the Bible through women’s Bible studies and grown more in awe and in love with Christ. After moving to Virginia Beach, we found Coastal just before the Beach Baptism and it seemed like the perfect time, so my family was baptized here at Coastal.
I am a military spouse (retired) so I have had many opportunities to use my administrative gifts in different capacities. In the past, I have supported several attorneys as well as other types of offices. When we moved to Virginia Beach, I began volunteering in the Coastal church office stuffing the Sunday morning programs, and when a need arose for an administrative assistant, I was available. I enjoy helping with Life Groups, Women’s Ministry and wherever there might be a vacancy to fill.
I am married to Joe and mother to Scott and Samantha (Sam). I love reading, spending time with my family doing anything and enjoying good food.
