Role: The Preschool Associate comes alongside parents and families to empower them to help children come to know Jesus and grow in Him. It includes keeping the littlest people safe and making sure that the lessons align with the Bible and the vision of Coastal Kids.
My Story: I grew up in a close-knit military family. We were regular attenders of church, but lacked a relationship with Christ. When I was in fifth grade, I attended my first church camp and felt the stirring in my heart to begin a personal connection with Jesus Christ. Not only did I meet Jesus at that camp, I met the man who would become my husband! I love looking back and seeing God orchestrating His plan for me, long before I accepted the gift of salvation.
I began serving as a Sunday school teacher when I was still in high school in California. After graduation, I moved to Virginia and attended Old Dominion University, obtaining my Bachelors of Science in Human Services, with a focus on Child Development. My courses included time as a teacher in a classroom setting and an internship with an adoption agency. Upon completion of my degree, I held several human resources positions, including working for the Navy as a civilian. My primary role for the past 3 years has been as a stay at home mom, which I have enjoyed very much.
I’m married to Bryan and mother to Abigail, Graham, Madeline. I enjoy scrapbooking, homeschooling my oldest child, and experimenting with fun hairstyles, make up, and nail polishes.
